Gift Wrapping Ideas

Gift Wrapping Ideas

Gift-wrap has been evolving since gifts have been given. Even the way a gift has been concealed has been improved. In America the use of modern wrapping paper is credited to Joyce and Rollie Hall. In 1917 these brothers were having an exceptionally good holiday season at their stationary store. When they ran out of tissue paper (what people were using to conceal gifts) they replaced it with “Fancy French Paper” (traditionally used for lining envelopes). The “Fancy French Paper” was an instant success and by 1919 they were printing their own wrapping paper. Today gift presentation is as important today as it was nearly 100 years ago.

Here are three modern ideas to help improve your gift’s presentation:

1.     Picture nametags: Rather than writing the recipients name decorate their gift with their picture.

2.     Bedazzled bows- adding a brooch or beads will add sophistication to your bow.

3.     Flowers- flower arrangements will add elegance to your present.
